Description
...There was Rolf and Nei from Phantasy Star II. In hono of Phantasy star Universe coming out tomorrow, I decided to whip together this quick 30 minute skecth/color job of Rolf cradling Nei after her fight with NeiFirst.

The battle theme I think is perfect for the game. It seems to represent the theme of tragedy... He wasn't the only PC to experience tragedy or make tough decisions (e.g. the hunters) but his was utterly unique.
It's especially sad that the Numans were originally doomed to a shorter existence. (This seems to be stated in the drama CDs, or perhaps the compendium.)
But man, I'll never forget this, or her courage. "...But Rolf's plaintive voice merely echoed and re-echoed." (Or h/e it went.)
